Time to shed

When I started working as a coach (maybe you remember that first website), I used a snake as a symbol.

Snakes represent transformation, wisdom, and healing. Similar to how I see discovering your personal style.

Plus, they shed their skin as they grow. Peel it off and move forward (wiser, bigger, and stronger) exactly what we can do with our clothes.

We hold onto garments that no longer fit us. Not just in size but in identity.

What once felt right might now feel like a costume or even a cage, telling us how to behave/think/feel based on who we used to be. Or who we were told to be.

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit in, you know this well. The pressure to mould yourself into something you’re not and dress to meet someone else’s expectations instead of your own.

It’s very common to keep outfits out of obligation, nostalgia, or even the fear of stepping into something new. But style, like life, is full of changes.

And we are here to transform.

So, here’s something for you to try today: Find one item in your wardrobe that no longer represents who you are.

And shed it.

Gift, donate, sell, or even customise it. Notice how it feels to release what no longer serves you, what no longer feels like you.
