Image coaching and style
I spent 15 years in fashion before I trained as a coach. Fifteen years working as a model, stylist, agent, journalist, and consultant. Fifteen years immersed in an industry where self-image is everything. And yet, nothing changed the way I dress more than coaching.
Coaching was a deep transformation, and it started on the inside. I understood myself in a way I hadn't before, recognised my patterns, tapped into my emotions and learned to accept myself.
I also worked on my body image before moving on to aesthetics.
I had always dressed with an awareness of trends and fashion rules. But Image Coaching changed my relationship with style. Because once I accepted who I was, my body included, I started dressing for myself. Not for trends, not for external validation, not for the idea of who I thought I should be.
We're not one thing. We're a mix of identities, moods, and contradictions. We are eclectic. And our style should reflect that.
Some styles amplify what's great about you, while others make you tap into parts of yourself that feel less aligned. But they're all valid and serve different purposes. Because we are human, we are imperfect. There's no right or wrong when it comes to your style.
When I realised that, my approach to fashion completely changed.
And what started as a change in how I dressed became a shift in everything. My career changed, my relationships changed, my friendships changed, my love life changed.
Because the way we dress isn't just about clothes. It's about how we see ourselves, how we take up space, and how we allow ourselves to be seen.
