New Chapter

As many of you know, I have worked in retail for the past two years. Post-pandemic, I wanted a job that would allow me to work on my social skills and explore a different side of fashion.

That brought me to an iconic department store in Dublin. And today, I had my very last shift there.

I find it funny that a few weeks ago, when I dyed my hair purple, I felt a change was coming, and change did indeed happen after that—the power of image.

These two years in the store have taught me a lot.

I learned how diverse customers are. I opened up to understand their insecurities and aimed to challenge their perceptions of clothes regarding age, gender and size.

I learned to adapt to ever-changing timetables and working days, working to find structure in a non-existent routine. I can't say I succeeded at that, but I managed.

I learned to have an even deeper respect for retail workers. The long hours standing up, the constant change across the store, the running around trying to find a misplaced item, the company and attention given to those who come to the store because they feel alone.

I made beautiful connections there and am happy to say I'm leaving with more friends than when I arrived.

Now, I'm off to a new start that isn't completely new, and I will have the time to create more coaching products and connect with you all.

I'm excited, and I'm ready.
