Making Space for Weirdness
Representation matters. And it goes beyond media and advertising. Visibility is about being seen in everyday spaces, too.
When you show up authentically—meaning, expressing who you are; it doesn't have to be just about clothes—three main things happen:
You accept who you are and say that you are enough
You create space for others to do the same
You connect with people who share values with you
In our society, there is constant pressure to be put inside a box. As potential customers, capitalism divides us into categories to be easier to target, from social generations to brand archetypes. And those labels can end up feeling more like a life script than a marketing term.
The thing is, not everyone fits the box. Or likes the box. Or comes from a planet where boxes exist.
So, expressing your weirdness is not being different for weirdness's sake. It is about giving yourself permission to be yourself and telling others they can give themselves permission to be different, too. It's about opening the door to be brave but also holding it open for others.
And help break some societal standards along the way.
Stay weird and make space for weird!
