Weirdness and freedom
I love to talk about weirdness because we are all a little weird—Even being too normal is weird. We all have something unique about us.
While I'm a strong advocate for embracing our differences, sometimes you could use that weirdness to sabotage yourself. Let me explain.
Without realising it, you could be using your apparent originality to seek attention, protecting your vulnerabilities under a fake extravagant mask. Making it all that other people can see and effectively concealing what you are trying to hide.
As a result, you would detach yourself from reality, project an inauthentic image, and live a life that isn't fully yours.
You would also give even more power to what you are hiding because you'd be creating so much around it.
That's why I always combine image with self-awareness in my work: because they are interlinked.
Accepting who you are with your light and shadow will give you the freedom to live your life on your own terms and be the most authentic version of yourself.
The freedom to express your true weirdness, not one that's just for show!
My brand new journal, half self-discovery, and half self-expression allows you to explore this in a fun way, with daily activities, in just 28 days.
